SingTogether is operated by Vanlab Technologies ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the SingTogether app and website, why we collect it, and how you can control it.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you sign in with Google (via Firebase Authentication), we receive your name, email address, and profile photo to create and identify your account.
- Recordings and project content. Audio and video recordings you make in the app, along with the projects, tracks, layouts, and share links you create, are stored so we can sync and combine performances across collaborators.
- Camera and microphone access. The app requests camera and microphone permission solely to record your vocal or instrumental performance. We only access these when you actively start a recording.
- Collaboration and invite data. When you invite others to a project via a share link, we store the information needed to manage who has joined a project and what they've contributed.
- Subscription and purchase information. Subscriptions are processed through the App Store and managed via RevenueCat. We receive subscription status and purchase history, but we never see or store your payment card details.
- Usage and diagnostic data. We use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, Firebase Crashlytics, and Mixpanel to understand how the app is used and to diagnose crashes and performance issues. This includes device information, app events, and crash logs.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core SingTogether experience: recording, syncing, and merging performances across collaborators.
- To operate accounts, share links, and collaboration invites.
- To process and manage subscriptions.
- To monitor app stability, fix bugs, and improve performance.
- To understand feature usage so we can improve SingTogether over time.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Other collaborators you explicitly invite into a project, who can see the recordings and content contributed to that project.
- Service providers who help us operate the app: Firebase/Google Cloud (authentication, storage, analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring), Mixpanel (product analytics), and RevenueCat (subscription management).
- Apple, when processing App Store purchases and subscriptions.
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SingTogether, our users, or others.
Data Retention
We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us using the details below.
Your Choices
- You can revoke camera or microphone access at any time in your device's Settings.
- You can delete individual projects or recordings from within the app.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings.
Children's Privacy
SingTogether is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
